Amir Taylor was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Loganville, Georgia, where he was raised in a supportive family environment that emphasized the importance of education, hard work, and community involvement.

Introduction to Basketball
At the age of six, Amir began playing basketball at a local community center, quickly demonstrating a natural aptitude for the sport, which laid the foundation for his future athletic endeavors

Freshman Year at Grayson High School
As a sophomore, Amir continues to play varsity basketball as a starter.

2023
Junior Year Achievements
Amir's junior year was marked by outstanding performances, including leading Grayson to the Georgia 7A state championship title over McEachern High School. He averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game, earning all-state honors and attracting national attention from scouts and colleges.

2024
Senior Milestones and 1,000-Point Club
During his senior year, Amir reached a significant career milestone by surpassing 1,000 career points in a game against Tri-Cities, where Grayson secured a dominant victory. Amir also committed to Kennesaw State University where he is playing Division I basketball.
